LAB-Safe Collaboration Platform, a tool for investigative journalism

This digital tool is a safe space for the development of translational research reporting and real-time collaboration through all the investigation process: planning, drafting, writing, editing, presentation, communication and exchange of experiences with reporters and editors that participate in the Investigative Reporting Initiative in the Americas.


The platform has the following benefits: + An user-friendly design for joint transnational research projects. + Space for accurate editing of the projects. + Safe online tools for researchers and editors: + Internal email messages. + Safe chat. + Groupal and global forums for debate + Announcements to communicate everything related to the research projects. Alerts Service. + Protection for common security threats as accidental loss of data and hacking. This platform was developed by the Jefferson Institute, an independent educational and research organization specialized in the implementation of digital tools, and was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This tool of the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), was developed jointly with OCCRP.
